TUBULAR HEATERS

Tubular heaters, are used mainly in custom heating applications. Most Tube Heaters use a sheath or sleeve as a protective outer covering for the heater elements. Tubular heaters differ in terms of features and options. Some products are corrosion resistant, explosion-proof, finned, or portable. Others are suitable for cryogenic use or provide dynamic power regulation. Hazardous location heaters are designed for use in places where there is a risk of fire or explosion. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and other organizations rate these devices. Indirect fired heaters use a secondary heat exchanger to separate the breathable air stream from the combustion air stream. Features for tubular heaters also include overheat protection, independent timing controls, and internal temperature detectors.

Tubular heaters can be formed into virtually any shape, brazed or welded to any metal surface, and cast into metals.

The tubular heater’s basic construction consists of a computer-designed helical coil of 80% Nickel 20% Chromium alloy resistance wire fusion welded to the nickel-coated steel terminal cold pins. This assembly is precisely stretched and centered in the element metal sheath, which is then filled with Grade “A” Magnesium Oxide powder (MgO). The filled tube is then compacted by a roll reduction mill into a solid mass, permanently stabilizing the coil in the center of the tube while providing excellent heat transfer and dielectric strength between the coil and the sheath.

Steel, stainless steel, copper, or Incoloy sheathed elements. Element wire situated in proximity to outside surface for maximum heat transfer and minimum internal temperature while preserving good dielectric qualities. Pure magnesium oxide compressed to an optimum density for best heat transfer and electrical insulation at elevated temperatures.

Features:
    >Incoloy® Sheath material
  >Threaded fittings are brazed, crimped or welded to the cold section of the heater
  >Nickel chromium Resistance wire is welded to the terminal pins for a stronger positive electric connection to increase the life span of the heater
  >MgO insulation fills the sheath to maximize the dielectric strength, promote efficient heat transfer, and prolong the life of the heater
  >Stainless steel studs are welded to the terminal pins, which can be covered with protective Ceramic Terminal Covers
  >Epoxy or silicone resin seals provide protection from moisture contamination. Seals can rate up to 390°F

Types of Tubular heaters

Straight tubular heater

Straight heating elements are designed for heating liquids, gas or solids to cover any customer applications.A metal sheath material is selected along with the resistance wire for the heating element verified by computer calculations to ensure the longest service life possible. The high quality resistance wire is carefully tested and inspected to meet rigid specifications prior to the coiling process. These heaters can be customised as per the client’s needs.

Finned tubular heater

Finned tubular heating elements are the most versatile and dependable electric heating element available today. These industrial heating solutions are among the most common heaters and are best suited for a large number of applications such as conduction, convection, and radiation. factory-configures every tubular process heater to almost any shape or size. Custom bendng diameters can be made upon request.

Bend formed  tubular heater

Available in several diameters, lengths and sheath materials, these heaters can be formed into virtually any shape and can be brazed or welded to any metal surface. Choose specific application finned heaters or heaters for runnerless molds.

Teflon tubular heater

We have a range of high quality Teflon, Vat and PTFE heaters that we design to your specification. They are designed to service a wide range of industries, the designs available include a ridged or flexible Teflon, Vat and PTFE heaters manufactured specifically for the metal finishing & chemical industries. We take pride in all of our heaters and we believe that these Teflon, Vat and PTFE heaters are perfect for metal finishing & chemical industries.

coiled  tubular heater

Tubular Coil Heater feature precision wound parallel coil elements fusion welded to nickel cold pins.  The element assemblies are embedded within high purity Magnesium Oxide Insulation and encased in Stainless Steel metal sheath. This Hot Runner Heater is swaged to the final rectangular, square or round cross-sectional dimensions to compact the internal core and High Purity insulation to near theoretical density. This high density construction maximizes heat transfer and dielectric properties and provides the high level of reliability and performance required for even the most demanding of applications.
