Flexible HEATERS

Flex heaters differ in terms of features and options. Some products are corrosion resistant, explosion-proof, finned, or portable. Others are suitable for cryogenic use or provide dynamic power regulation. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and other organizations rate these devices. Indirect fired heaters use a secondary heat exchanger to separate the breathable air stream from the combustion air stream. Features for flex heaters also include overheat protection, independent timing controls, and internal temperature detectors. Flex heaters are silicone rubber heaters with a bonded polyimide power flex-lead. These thin, sturdy and accurate units have the advantages of the etched foil silicone rubber heater; withstand temperature excursions, factory vulcanizing, etc. plus the added flexibility of the polyimide heater in the lead area – making them ideal for demanding applications. The heaters can be designed in the exact shape and size needed allowing the part to conform to a piece of equipment. They are moisture and chemical-resistant providing long heater life..Capable of operating with excellent performance under many adverse conditions, the low thermal mass of flexible heaters makes them ideal for use in applications where the space for placing a heater is limited and weight is a concern.

Types of Flexible heaters

Drum heater

Flexible Drum Heaters are constructed of vulcanized silicone rubber that is resistant to moisture, ozone, fungus and radiation. They are ideal for heating stored viscous fluids inside poly or metal drums to a pourable temperature. When not in use, heaters roll for convenient storage.

Silicon rubber heater

flexible silicone rubber heaters are rugged, yet thin, lightweight and flexible. Use of these silicone heater is limited only by the imagination. Heat can be put where it is needed. These silicone heaters improve heat transfer, speed warm ups, and decrease wattage requirements.

Fiberglass-reinforced silicone rubber gives the heater dimensional stability without sacrificing flexibility. Because very little material separates the element from the part, heat transfer is rapid and efficient. The silicone rubber flexible heaters are constructed with a wire-wound element and the heater construction creates a very thin heater allowing it to fit applications where space is limited.

Tape heater

Silicone rubber tape heater, silicone rubber insulating layers is made of silicone rubber and glass fiber cloth are compounded sheet (the standard thickness of 1.5mm), it has good flexibility, can be associated with an object to be heated is close contact; the heating elementsof nickel alloy foil processing form, the heating power can reach 2.1W/cm2 , more uniform heating .In this way , we can let the heat transfer to any desired place.
